2017 BIOGRAPHY:

Barb Wire Dolls were never here to fuck around, engage in pleasantries or shy away from a challenge. This loud female-fronted five-piece rock and roll band that started in an artist commune in Crete, Greece have gained a solid global reputation, building their loyal following (the Street Generation) by playing over eight hundred shows in twenty five countries over just a few years since relocating to Los Angeles. In 2015 after seeing the band live, the incomparable, irreplaceable and forever-missed ‪Lemmy Kilmister of ‪Motörhead had them signed to the ‪Motörhead Music record label and last years' Desperate was released to critical acclaim.

"‪Lemmy‪ told me to never compromise, give 100% at every show, and to never change for anyone or anything. I'll remember his advice forever. It's the highest honor to have him believe in you." - Isis Queen

Barb Wire Dolls absorbed many elements of love, hate, war, peace and humanity during the past year, giving fans some truly inspired live performances along the way. To satisfy their need to write a real soundtrack for today's issues, the band ventured into the desert to capture the sonic emotions of life's journey for their third studio album, Rub My Mind, which is dedicated to ‪Lemmy Kilmister. This collection of thirteen eclectic tracks is a refreshingly raw, potent musical rocket that reflects the state of our world, how to deal with it - and how to escape it!

Produced and mixed by Jay Baumgardner (‪Evanescence, ‪John Fogerty, Bush) Barb Wire Dolls spent just two days to record Rub My Mind in the Joshua Tree desert at legendary studio Rancho De La Luna in California – where ‪Iggy Pop and ‪Queens of The Stone Age‪ have made seminal albums. Rub My Mind builds on the energetic platform of their last two releases, the ‪Steve Albini-masterminded Slit (2013) and Desperate (2016), by delivering an album that confidently grabs your immediate attention. It takes only two spins before the hooks are under your skin. Led by Isis Queen’s dynamic vocals and flamboyant presence, the lyrics and songs suddenly become part of who you are and who you wish to be. Rub My Mind is full of the melodic rage of lead guitarist and former pro surfer and skateboarder Pyn Doll, the crunchy rhythm guitar of Remmington, the pulsating bass of Iriel ‪Blaque, and the Bonham-esque power of Krash Doll on drums. Rub My Mind is an exciting retro cocktail of late ‘70s influenced punk and '90s grunge refracted through the prism of 2017. It sounds like "then and now" all at once.

Take “Call Me”, a catchy Pop song about date rape, with it’s sweet innocent intro that soon gets shoved aside by solid walls of dissonant angry riffs and vocals, or the fiery social statement of lead track/single and new video “Back In The U.S.S.A”, which is two minutes and twenty seven seconds of satirical heaven that will light up your hot summer nights. Add those to the soaring, epic "Desert Song", the dreamy “Fade Away", the insane punk pogo of “Contract", or the infectiously addictive buzz of "We Are Champions” and you’ll quickly understand that Barb Wire Dolls are about to stake an unshakable place in the depths of your heart and soul.

"We believe in our music, message, and the people out there that need something new, fresh and dangerous." - Isis Queen

Poised to break out in a big way, and to bring rock and roll to new heights, Barb Wire Dolls are releasing Rub My Mind in conjunction with being invited to perform on all forty-one summer dates across America on the 2017 Vans Warped Tour.

LYRICS TO THE ALBUM 'RUB MY MIND':

1. BACK IN THE U.S.S.A.

Introducing a new band to the stage
Introducing a new musical state
Introducing a new lyrical fate
Introducing a new stake on your plate

Back in the U.S.S.A.

Introducing riot to the head of state
Introducing sex as political rage
Introducing a storm for the female cage
Introducing freedom to the French fry plate

Introducing Thanks-killing Day
Introducing the nuclear age
Introducing war, as a criminal game
Introducing false hope - that fades away

2. IF I FALL

City lights my dreams come true
Blood is dirt, my veins are turning blue
Should I stumble
Should I crumble
Time slips away
I long for yesterday

If I fall
The world will have to catch me after all
If I fall today

Just a six string on my back
Tide is rising, there's no turning back
Should I stumble
Should I crumble
Time slaves away
I long for yesterday

If I fall
The world will have to catch me after all
If I fall today
And if I stay
I may not ever get to go away
If I fall today

Shouldn't I
Should I
Should I stumble
Shouldn't I
Should I
Should I crumble

If I fall
Should I stumble
If I fall
Should I crumble

Howling at the moon, I'm crying wolf
Tired of explaining the lonely truth
Should I stumble
Should I crumble
Time slips away
My blood is draining away

3. DESERT SONG

I reach up to the sky
To find your love
My empty soul
Can't get enough
'Cause I've been here before
And I know my fate
Oh, I've been down too long
And I can't live this way

I've been waiting all this time
Can't live this way
Been waiting all my life
Can't live this way

I climbed the hill
To find the tree
The burning bush
Burns right through me
'Cause I've been here before
And I know my fate
Oh, I've been down too long
And I can't live this way

I've been waiting all this time
Can't live this way
Been waiting all my life
Can't live this way
Waiting for you to come
Can't live this way
Waiting for your love

Don't let me down

Don't let me down
Don't let my feet touch the ground
Just keep me high
And let me fly away from here

I run into the sea
To feel your waves
Come crash on me
I've drowned for an eternity
'Cause I've been here before
And I know my fate
Oh, I've been down too long
And I can't live this way

4. HOLE OF ISOLATION

I can't take this frustration
I'll leave this hole of isolation

I can't take this separation
No recourse, pure desolation

I was never meant to be in-prisoned here
With no key, I'm lost inside my fear
Drowning eyes, my blood is soaked in tears
Shouting walls escape the grave that's near

5. GOLD

If I could have walked
Walked out of the sea
If I could have made
Made myself breath
Then surely I could
Break free from these chains
So I take aim
'Cause this is my
This is my last stand

Now my life is gold

If I could've killed
Killed an honest man
Take his pain
Then cross the Rio Grande
Now my time has come
Come to an end
So I take aim
'Cause this is my
This is my last stand

Gold

Now my life is gold

Here I go again
I'll tie the rope around my head
Taking matters into these hands
'Cause this is my
This is my
This is my last stand

I'm a wild horse
Running wild

I'll run through the desert
Ill run to the sea
I'll run down the mountain for all to see
I'm wild in the streets
I'm wild in bed
I'm wild like the waves crashing
Over my head
On my head

6. CALL ME

Call me
If you need my love
Won't you show me
Don't be afraid

'Cause another day's gone
And I'm all outta lies
And I'm hiding inside
Between the lines
Waiting for your call
To see where we stand
To find out if you understand

So what happened last night?
'Cause I don't know!
Was I beyond control?
But where did we go?
Did you wake me at least?
How would I know?
Did you rub my mind?
Against my will!

Should I apologize to you?
Why should I?
Did I take it too far?
What did you do?
Is there anything left that's true?
Why do I ask?
'Cause something's changed inside of me
Because of you!

Call me
Won't you call me?
Just call me

7. WE ARE CHAMPIONS

Everybody get to the street now
Everybody bring your heat now

When pressure drops
Don't stop
Don't get caught now

Everybody get to the street now
Everybody feel the heat now

Hey!
Leave 'em alone
They're not fighting
They're rioting

Make riot not war

We are champions

8. EDGE OF INNOCENCE

I need a clock that won't stand still
I wanna see you again

You never listen to what I say
You never notice what I do

'Cause I want to feel the grace
Of a world that hasn't lost its face

'Cause my back's up against the wall right now
As the guns of the man keep staring me down
But I won't lose this fight
No, I won't stand down
Why aren't you here?
I wanna see you again

You never heed the words I say

That's why you'll never break through

That's why you'll never
I wanna see you again

9. FADE AWAY

Somebody come and light the fire
Heat burn through my skin
Nothing left but shadows in the dark
I ignite with one shining spark

I'll fade
Fade away

No one left here to pull me up
Desert sand
Dirt in my heart
The sun shines but leaves no heat
I'm running by the presence of your eyes

Spirit muse rise and fly away
Empty moon light the way
Intoxicate my venomous veins
Quench me with your eternal flame

10. CONTRACT

Hey you!
Bring me to the front
There ain't no joke here
This story's about you
Your lies
Your hopes
Your criminal actions
Against our votes

You're hiding in your corporate walls
Making calls and sweating balls
You're counting money in your bank's vault
You're trying to blame us but it's your fault

You got a problem
'Cause

I got a contract
Out on

You're passing laws in your government house
Trying to jail the likes of us
You're running out of time you lying swine
You got a problem 'cause
Now you're mine

Tie 'em up boys
I'd like you to meat my friends
In all their glory
Let's rip them to shreds

New feudal lords you've been out for us
Didn't you realize we were dangerous
You've got your lies in your harmony
You've got your faults in your economy

I got a contract out on you
You got a problem

Let's get out of this f$&@ing city

Out on you

11. WHERE MOUNTAINS DRINK THE WINE

A shooting star
I saw it

Come take my hand
She said
Take me to your promise land
Where mountains drink the wine
And blue waves dance in my mind

An angel once knocked at her front door
She gave her wings but she still wanted more
So she turned her back on me
And she flew away

And in the sea
Her veins turned to green
And in the stars
Her dreams fell apart

I hear the wolves in the streets howl her name
The traffic lights
They burn her eyes to shame
Oh, how she died to live forever

Come take me home
Come and take me home

And in the sea I feel her song

12. FIRE TO BURN

An exit on a crossfire sky
A desert star as black as night
The fire inside has turned to flames
The passion's died and cries your name

You can't trust no cowboy
And you can't hold him back
His life's just a moments passing
Until he takes off his hat

Roses were never meant to last
Sweet memories fade in the past
The open road's got another turn
I reckon I've got some fire to burn

But you know you're all that he has
But a man never sticks to his plans
He keeps running down the same old track
His idol hands were the Devil's gold

Fire

You can't trust no cowboy

Fire to burn

13. WAITING TO BE LOST

I lost
I lost myself
Sometime ago
I don't even know
As I'm not who I was
When I knew you
And I hope
And I pray
That I would be me someday
Again

And the wave comes in
And it bears your name
As I wait for the sun to shine
I am lost
And I'm waiting
I'm waiting
To love again

I'm waiting to return to you
